Conducting structured and unstructured interviews

Modelling the business; determining end-user needs; specifying business rules

Systems Design:
Translating system requirements into viable system designs
Generating competing logical designs
The role of prototyping in selecting optimum logical designs
Specifying object-oriented designs with UML; Case diagrams and object models
Using CASE tools to generate designs
Generating entity models, state-transition diagrams and processing flowcharts
Physical design issues - designing user-interaction schemes and user interfaces, program code specifications and algorithmic sequences; selecting optional data structures; database design; web-enable designs
Pre-Testing physical designs for consistency and robustness
